Jordan Spieth recently concluded his 2024 season by participating in the FedEx St. Jude Championship and securing the 67th spot in the FedEx Cup standings. Following this event, Spieth underwent surgery to address a persistent wrist injury. In an update on his personal X account posted on August 31, Spieth shared, “I had a procedure on my left wrist last week, as I had mentioned was the plan. The operation went smoothly, and I’m grateful for the exceptional medical team and support of Annie and my family.” He emphasized his focus on rest and rehabilitation, eagerly anticipating a healthy comeback for the 2025 season.
Despite battling the wrist issue since the 2023 PGA Championship and managing it throughout the 2024 season, the injury worsened during the off-season. Palliative treatments provided only partial relief, impacting Spieth’s performance on the PGA Tour. Consequently, he made the decision to undergo surgery to address the issue and prioritize his long-term health and career. We wish Jordan Spieth a swift recovery and look forward to witnessing his return to the golf course, ready to showcase his talent and resilience in 2025.
